I just scrub it out with dish soap and a bristle brush. I t doesn't seem to get very dirty. That is one thing that I like so much about it.

The variation will make hiding any stains easy. I LOVE my soapstone, however, I viewed some soapstone in a house on teh home tour this past weekend, and it was the suck. Had I seen such an example, I would have picked another stone. Mine is great.
