WT Dinner

OK, here's the plan:
Call up Captiol Grille and ask them to make the following takeout order:
2x Lobster Mac & Cheeze
1x Creamed Spinnach
1x White Chocolate Mousse

So, do you think they'll take the order, or will they say "No Take Out"? Or will they say "No Take Out w/o Entree"? ... bet I'd have better odds if I went in, sat at the bar and had a drink before I ordered. But :wifey: doesn't want to get dressed to go into CG bar. CG in KC is in the expensive restaurant/bar district, tons of popular and pricey venus within a few blocks, for some reason the CG bar is where all the dirty old men and hot lil golddiggers flock - I guess they both like the StoliDoli's.

CG has the worlds best creamed spinnach (it's basically just a big bowl of delicious dairy fat in several forms, with a little green stuff mixed in) and their Lobster Mac & Cheeze really is worthy of an entree spot, even though they list it as a side. Giant chunks of lobster meat with a delicious toasted breadcrumb top, and great blend of cheese on the pasta.

I don't know the answer to this, but I will second how great both the creamed spinach and lobster mac and cheese are. Especially the second.
The first is almost like an artichoke dip, but quite good.

I could just eat a huge bowl of the lobster mac and cheese. :agree:

Iz about to make pasta. I'm gonna cook fresh tomatoes to put in the sauce. I've got some French bread to go with it. That's a WT apt. gourmet meal.

Success. Captial Grille didn't blink when I called for carryout and just ordered the Mac&Cheez. Ended up adding mashed potatoes (wifey doesn't like the spinach) and subbing key-lime for the mousse.

Female hostesses were pretty damn slow to get the order for me when I showed up though. One changed shift (after I paid her) and apparently forgot to tell the other what was up. Male maitre'de finally asked if I'd been helped and quickly got my order.

Mac&Cheez was phenominal as always, I had a huge claw's worth of meat in two big chunks, plus a few pieces of other meat (either big legs or little shreds off the tail.) Spinach was good, but it really needs a steak to set it off I think. Potatoes were the usual good but nothing special. We haven't got to the Key Lime yet.

For the same price as a trip to Outback it was a much better meal.

Yeah, the potatoes were pretty average.

When I was there (the night I was asking about it), I had salmon. It was quite good.

Also, they had a corn with onions and little bacon pieces that was quite good. usually, I stay away from ham, but I had 3 big spoonfuls.
